Greek Genesis...
Life is too short to drink cheap wine...
It's not easy to do the right thing.
Everything starts with an idea. We started with the wish to have a share in the world of wine, a world which has become fairly complex these days.
Today's wine connoisseurs have upgraded their requirements and show a rising interest in wine quality, origin and consistency. Accordingly the world of wine needs people who have gained a profound knowledge in this area. Moreover, a solid know-how will help to increase sales and has therefore become particularly important at the wine market.
In its philosophy the WINEACADEMY GREECE assumes that the wine culture as such is determined by a "feedback control system": This concept says that the more a nation knows about wine, the higher its wine culture will be. Accordingly the country will produce, offer, demand and consume wine of a higher quality. That's why our training concept addresses all partners at the wine market.
The WINEACADEMY GREECE has its principal office in Thessaloniki, Greece. Further branches are located in Graz, Austria and Munich, Germany. The product management and organisation is directed by Mr. Alexander Andreadis.
We cooperate closely with: Greek Wine Federation, Union de la Sommellerie Grecque, ENOAM, ENOAP, Hellenic Foreign Trade Board, Wine Producers Association of Attica, Greek Food and Wine Institute, Ampeloiniki - Technology Park of Thessaloniki, Hellenic Ministry of Agriculture.
Following Nikos Katzanzakis ("Alexis Sorbas") we believe that there are three groups of people: "Some people aim to live their own life. They want to eat, drink, love, become rich and famous, whereas for other people living their own life is not enough. They also want to integrate their fellow men. Those people see all humankind as a unit, and so they are looking to love, teach and benefit other people as much as possible. People of the third group finally long to live a universal life. All men, animals, plants and stars are one, made from the same substance, struggling terribly alike. What for? To transform matter into mind."
So: in vino veritas
Doing the right thing is much easier than expected...
